Cardisuit is the new name of the former BodyStream. It is exactly the same product as before, only new name and color.
Cardisuit Operating Instructions
In the rare instance you need to replace the neck seal, here is a video showing you how to do it.
-
Cardisuit Safety Guidelines
- Check for leaks at all connections in the system. This includes:
This can be done by listening to the sound of air leaking or using a spray bottle with soapy water. If there is a leak you will see small bubbles appears where the leak is located.
- Do not store your CO2 tank in an area where the temperature exceeds 125F (51.7 C). Excessively hot temperatures will increase the pressure inside the tank. All tanks have a safety relief valve if the pressure gets too high.
- Make sure to turn the tank off when the CO2 tank is not in use filling the Cardisuit.
- Check the neck seal to make sure it is tight enough, so that no CO2 leaks from the neck.
- Make sure the zipper is pulled down all the way completely. The last part of the zipper requires extra effort to pull it over the looped end.
- Make sure the room has good ventilation.
- After the session you can open the Cardisuit suit and the CO2 can be released into the room. The amount of CO2 contained in the suit is not enough to significantly change the volume of CO2 in the room to dangerous levels.
- Do not put your head in the Cardisuit suit until you open the suit and the CO2 is removed by airing it out.
-
CO2 Tank Safety
- CO2 cylinder pressure is about 860psi at normal room temperature.
- Typical CO2 cylinders store about 20lbs of liquid CO2.
- 2lbs of liquid CO2 expand to about 20 cubic feet of pure CO2 gas at atmospheric temperature. It expands at a rate of 535:1.
- CO2 is heavier than air so it will fill low areas first. If there is little air circulation, pools of CO2 can build up and exist for hours. So good room ventilation is important.
-
Recommended Usage
- It is recommended to use the Cardisuit for 30 to 60 minutes per session, 3 to 5 times per week.
- Handle the neck seal with care and do not wear any kind of jewelry, watches etc. as this can damage the neck seal and cause it to break.
- Even though CO2 can easily go through clothing, it is recommended to wear as minimal clothing as possible.
- To clean the Cardisuit turn the suit inside out and use a steam cleaner or spray with a cleaning solution and wash with a hand towel.
- If the neck seal is too large it can be replaced with the small size. If the large size is too tight the neck seal can be trimmed to make it more comfortable.
- Drink water after the Cardisuit session.
- For enhanced effect you can do things that opens up the blood circulation to the skin before going into the Cardisuit bath, like doing physical activity, take a warm or cold shower. Another tip is to lay on a heat matress.
