Is it normal for the Cardisuit to deflate?
Is it normal for the Cardisuit to deflate?

Question: Is it normal for the Cardisuit to deflate?

Answer: Yes, slight deflation is normal. During our Quality Assurance process, each Cardisuit undergoes a 6-hour test and is approved if leakage remains under 1%. Some deflation can occur because some of the CO₂ is absorbed through the skin. Additionally, minor gas leaks may happen around the neck—especially when moving or if the neck seal is slightly loose.Since CO₂ is a gas, even the tiniest gaps can allow some to escape.

However, this is not harmful and should not be a cause for concern. As long as any leakage is minor and you're not feeling discomfort, there is no risk. The CO₂ safely disperses into the surrounding air.

To minimize leakage from the neck seal:

  • Consider ordering a smaller neck seal from our website for a more secure fit.
  • Use soft, elastic tape around the edge of the neck seal to improve the seal and reduce leakage.
